Amber Feick, BCBA

"I just wanted to reach out and let you know how much I appreciate the Clinical Quality Survey! I was able to complete the survey in less than 7 minutes and I love that it gave me immediate results. I was so impressed by the resources you provided for each of the identified areas on the survey - honestly way too kind for it being a free system to use! I'm looking forward to seeing what clinical improvements my organization can make with the findings from this survey. Thank you again!"

Jason Urda Owner/Clinical director of Connect Behavioral Health

"Connect Behavioral Health is a new ABA agency looking to provide enhanced clinical services. Upskill ABA’s Clinical Quality Assessment tool helped us identify some areas for growth and provide clear objectives for our staff’s development."

Leslie Birdwhistell, LCSW, BCBA

"The Family Quality of Life Scale is a valuable assessment tool in applied behavior analysis (ABA). By focusing on the factors that matter most to families, this scale helps practitioners gain a deeper understanding of the overall well-being and stability of individuals and families. This, in turn, allows practitioners to tailor interventions more effectively. I highly recommend the FQOL for any ABA provider seeking to use a person-centered approach with families."

What are Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS)?
Clinical decision support systems are tools that provide clinicians and stakeholders with a systematic and transparent approach to making decisions. Clinical decision support systems are developed by integrating professional literature, evidence-based practices, policy and procedures, standards of care, and ethical guidelines where applicable. Thus, they allow end users to follow the most efficient and effective course of action to make decisions that will lead to superior client care. Keep in mind that the clinical decision model will supplement judgement and never supplant a clinician. The decision model will yield action statements with suggested next steps, but clinical guidance and rationale will also be incorporated.

Benefits of Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS)?

CDSS have several benefits;

  1. Every decision is linked to the practice care guidelines for BCBAs, the BACB ethical code of conduct, and/or peer reviewed literature,
  2. It indicates what areas are not in alignment with the standards of care and provides resources for how to course correct, and
  3. It functions as a knowledge management system that provides quality assurance and quality control.
